July 2008 brought some overcast skies however the LICPOA turned out to help Station Eaton's Neck construct a fence around the Housing Playground. After a long day, Chapter President Mike Koch hosted a picnic at his house. The kids and families really appreciate the added safety measures to protect the kids.

04/16/08; This month’s meeting was used to perform our community service project at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. Our treasurer John Marschhauser organized the event and had this to say "After a day of hard labor, I can say that I’m glad I don’t have to work this hard all the time." Ten members from the chapter and three PCPO's from Sector Long Island Sound laid 400' of fence in eight hours. The photo's below show just how hard it is to replace fence.

It's time we welcome TEN new Chief Petty Officers to the Chiefs Corp. Pictured from left to right, they are: MKC William T. Maddex, SKC Jorge Gomez, FSC Mike Rowan, MKC Oscar Perez, BMC Brian Myers, MKC Brian Skinner, DCC Alan Bethel, MKC Sean Lynch, BMC William Rowlands, MKC John McDermott. On 16 November 2007, we started the day with Breakfast and the Rites of Passage at Station Jones Beach, culminating with a wonderful dinner at Danford's Inn in beautiful Port Jefferson, NY. With over 125 guests in attendance this was a very memorable evening in the lives of these new Chiefs. Congratulations for your hard work. Welcome aboard!
What a success, beautiful weather, friendship, and another great CPOA fundraising event. Our members turned out in droves and we once again were the only food vendor for the 2007 Bradstock event. Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy schedule for the Charity fundraising event. Please visit Bradstock's website for more information. Bradstock Home Page.
